Trading Names are no longer to be used.

With the introduction of Single Touch Payroll, the Australian Business Register (ABR) no longer collects or updates trading names (since 28 May 2012), and any existing trading names that were collected before this date will be displayed on ABN Lookup until 31 October 2018.

If you want to trade under a specific name, you need to register it as a business name with the Australian Securities and Investments Commission (ASIC).

Therefore from the installation of Version 18, all Reports and Pay Slips will be updated to only display the Legal Entity Name (Company Name) and Pay Advice Slips (1 Up) (Plain Paper A4 - Trading Name) and e-Mail Pay Advice Slips (1 Up) (Plain Paper A4 - Trading Name) have also been depreciated.

Version 18 will be available for download and installation from Wednesday 21st February 2018.
